Important results from the project
The project met most of the objectives and developed methods for root cause analysis, maintenance, data collection from sources such as process and sensor data, and search engine for time series data and the analysis at industry partners demonstrated the potential of data fusion. Training materials and and technical solutions for industrial partners were produced. The project built on D3H-results, strengthened collaborations and resulted in new research applications.
Expected long term effects
The DFusion project has developed tools and methods to support data-driven proactive disturbance handling. By optimizing processes, the project contributes to a more efficient and sustainable production. Competence-enhancing efforts strengthen the industry´s ability to implement data-driven processes. In the long term, increased resilience, cost-effectiveness and profitability are expected. The project contributes to digitalization, competitiveness and long-term development of Swedish industry.
Approach and implementation
The DFusion project (2021–2024) built on previous project and strengthened cooperation between companies, research institute and university. The project included development of both working methods and technical data solutions, in addition to knowledge dissemination. Cross-functional collaboration in a consortium with broad competence – from software and manufacturing companies to research actors. The insights from case studies and the iterative method enabled the development of solutions.
