Important results from the project
The project´s aim was to strengthen Avdelningen Omvärld and business, Malmö Stad´s ability to develop and use knowledge-based decision bases within the framework of regional and cross-regional business development´s impact on sustainable growth. The goal of the project was that this increased capacity would strengthen the cooperation opportunities between Malmö Stad and Malmö municipality. By working together, knowledge base reports that analyze the food industry have been developed. These bases have given rise to both a deeper and broader collaboration.
Expected long term effects
Two project presentations have been organized as breakfast meetings at Malmö University where representatives of municipalities, regions and other actors have been given the opportunity to meet researchers and students. This was an effect that was not planned but turned out very well. An important added value of the project is the increased knowledge of how continued cooperation can be developed and financed. A results of the project has been developed within collaboration where analysis data can complement the municipal activities and that students can contribute knowledge.
Approach and implementation
The project has developed an increased ability of Avdelningen Omvärld and business Stadskontoret Malmö Stad to formulate and use scientifically based knowledge bases in both operational and strategic activities. The project´s clear objective and division into three themes have contributed to a successful implementation and a deepened future collaboration between Malmö Stad and Malmö University.
