Important results from the project
The aim project is to develop and test a handicap lifting prototype for public bathing areas. The goal is that after this project have sufficient knowledge to be able to produce a well-functioning lift, developed and tested in collaboration with users, assistants, occupational therapists and accessibility associations. Fulfillment: Purpose and goal are very well achieved. During the project, testing has resulted in 3 modifications of the prototype, and we now have a developed and tested "final version" that well meet the company, customers ´and users needs and requirements.
Expected long term effects
The expected effect of the project is that people with disabilities / wheelchair users should find it easy to take a bath in public bathing areas with this developed lift. Expected results of this project is to, after testing, be sure that the lift meets the users´ needs regarding function and user-friendliness. Fulfillment: The project has fulfilled expected results and effects. The final lift prototype simplifies bathing for many disabled people and meets the expectations and requirements from customers, assistants and especially users, regarding function and user-friendliness.
Approach and implementation
Development and manufacture of lifting prototype (Apr-June) Development and manufacture of specially built floating bridge for lifting prototype (April-June) Testing in a real environment by users, assistants, occ.therapists and functional support associations. (June-July) Modification of lift according to users req./ request (July-Aug) New tests after completed modifications. (Aug-Oct) Evaluation, follow-up and documentation, summary, reporting. (Aug-Oct) Analysis: Layout and implementation according to plan delay approx. 1 month due to 3 completed modifications.
