Important results from the project

To design a machine for pilot production of a durable wick sustainer for a compostable tealight. We have fulfilled this in the project.

Expected long term effects

Generation of manufacturing data for pilot production machine as a basis for developing a prototype tool to be able to test movements in real life. Movements have been tested in a virtual environment. We have received the knowledge of similar processes for the traditional production of tea lights in the aim to integrate innovative elements in the production of machines available. This allows us to add sustainable solutions in existing lighting industries.

Approach and implementation

The project had four work packages 1) Develop machine for manufacturing wicker holder 2) Verification of machine design and prototype production 3) Business plan and verification of business model 4) Preparations for production of machine for pilot production The WPs have been implemented according to plan. However, a change in the project plan was applied for and approved by Vinnova concerning A change in the project was notified and approved by Vinnova regarding the project time cycle and prolonged it to December 2021, due to delays in delivery linked to the pandemic.
