Important results from the project

All the stated goals have been reached. They were: - thought leadership and accelerating development and dissemination of knowledge and use of decentralized AI in Sweden, - an open lab environment where AI Sweden partners contribute resources and knowledge, - lead the exploration and development of several high-impact use cases in several sectors - develop legal solutions leveraging decentralized systems and address compliance concerns that may arise. - opportunities for national and international partners to perform joint research at AI Sweden

Expected long term effects

AI Swedens edge learning lab has positioned itself as a world-class lab and forms the basis for a consortium to make Sweden a world leader in decentralized learning. Both large and small Swedish and international companies, the public sector, and academia have become involved in the lab. It is especially nice to see that leading international universities choose to cooperate with us. Furthermore, IMY has run a project in collaboration with the healthcare system to look at how to legally view the technology and a report has been published on this. ESA has written an LoI to start a phialab here.

Approach and implementation

The work has been managed by AI Sweden. Major investments in personal time and infrastructure have been made by many of AI Sweden´s partners. The lab has acted as a magnet for further activities among partners. In addition, it has attracted top-level international visitors for discussions, including a state visit (the royal couple of the Netherlands), a prime minister (Estonia), an opposition leader (Norway), and a commissioner from the USAs National Security Commission on AI Dissemination of results has been done through videos, events, seminars, workshops, webmaterial and reports
