Purpose and goal
CYCERONE aims to reduce Europe´s cybersecurity skills gap and improve access to qualified professionals by centralising and simplifying access to cybersecurity training across sectors. The aim is to strengthen cybersecurity skills across Europe by increasing the visibility and reach of higher education institutions and training providers. The project´s objective is to address the urgent need for improved cybersecurity capacity in Europe.
Expected effects and result
The project provided the opportunity to conduct a needs analysis where Swedish companies answered questions regarding skills needs and preferred forms of education in order to give Swedish education providers the opportunity to better adapt their education to the needs of the target groups. The results were disseminated nationally, giving other higher education institutions the same opportunity. All courses are free of charge, which creates value for Swedish companies and public administration.
Planned approach and implementation
The project portal showcasing the courses is in use and will be widely disseminated by the project management as well as the partners. Learners from the target groups (public administration and SME´s) will be able to choose a relevant course by registering at the respective university. Courses will be delivered by teachers at the curating universities, but may also be delivered by teachers at other partners. Participants from various EU countries will attend the courses simultaneously.
