Important results from the project

The project has two parts. To build a digital teacher who takes advantage of conversational AI to reach students whether they are in a classroom, at home, or are located somewhere in the world where there is a lack of teaches, and create a demo on the topic POSH “Prevention of Sexual Harassment”. The goal is fulfilled by having a demo ready (see link). But at the same time, we are aware that this is a strong simplification of our vision and we know that the work will require much more time. However, it has become clear during this period that the project has the potential to become very good over time.

Expected long term effects

The project has resulted in a good platform to build on, where the goal is still to create "the world´s best digital teachers". We have built up a stable collaboration with our partners in both India and Kenya. We also have a basic structure in how courses can be built, with texts, videos, quizzes, and other types of pedagogical tools, which are the same regardless of the subject you teach. The effect of this first version is that we are already preparing for version two, where we will primarily focus on technical improvements of the system.

Approach and implementation

The workflow has been divided into periods. Much of the content of the course was done during the summer when many helpful teachers were available and able to comment. The programming part has been more steady but with a longer start-up distance. The collaboration with India has deepened and improved along the entire project journey and today works very well, despite the fact that we have had to compromise on quality in some respects and have had to work with simplifications regarding part of the system. But it is clear that the project has great potential, which is very satisfactory.
