Important results from the project
1. Concretize the interest of the societal actors who have previously expressed interest in supporting, in various ways, the formation of a knowledge center. 2. Map the existence of similar initiatives and propose forms of collaboration and structure for coordinating joint initiatives. 3. Formulate a number of projects for the intended center with the potential to be implemented and financed in collaboration with others. 4. A strategic plan to develop a center formation for the functions and results that have emerged in the discussions with the actors according to above.
Expected long term effects
A dozen collaborations have been initiated around competence, business development and outreach activities. Several with upscaling potential. A developed method coordinates autonomous actors with complex interests and needs. The model contains elements of systematic identification of and learning from relevant best practice. Others focus on disseminating exist-ing knowledge and experience. A growing insight on the need of new governance methods for complex change has been elevated by the many talks that have taken place in the project which is perhaps the most important effect
Approach and implementation
The work can be summarized as follows: 1. Knowledge acquisition and development of a process model based on understanding and reduction of complexity as well as leadership in horizontal collaborations. 2. Discussion with different actors about the model´s carrying capacity. Discussions with potential partners and financiers on concrete collaborative projects, including agreements as needed. The design of the project, based on hundreds of conversations, has generated an extensive basis for further analysis. So far, a number of key concepts and perspectives have been defined.
