Important results from the project

Our project has actively contributed to the region´s progress in academia, business and indirectly in digitalisation of healthcare, which strengthens our vision of innovation and international cooperation. Despite challenges, such as administrative obstacles, we have successfully established meaningful partnerships and explored new international cooperation models. Our participation in the Transfiere Congress and other knowledge exchanges underlines the potential of this project and confirms our commitment to continue building bridges for future cooperation.

Expected long term effects

The project resulted in co-operation between researchers and start-up incubators from both regions. A concrete example is the numerous startups from both Spain and Sweden who were allowed to present their cases and begin network building in the other country. Furthermore, a seminar where researchers from Malaga, Umeå and Luleå (LTU) participated to discuss opportunities for collaboration within the Horizon project. Discussions have also been held with Medicinska Fakulteten in Malaga to explore opportunities for student exchange within the Erasmus program.

Approach and implementation

The implementation of the project has been characterized by an open strategy that has promoted cooperation and international contacts. Through selected activities, the project has successfully established partnerships, especially within academia and industry. Despite administrative challenges, the project has proven to be feasible and flexible, enabling progress and new opportunities. Success also depends on genuine interest from all parties. The project has demonstrated the ability to deliver the desired results and arouse interest in continued work.
