Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The investigation has shown that there is potential to streamline flows through a higher degree of automation, especially at the beginning of the sample handling flow. The project has given the business more data and recommendations on technical solutions to ensure the quality of the flow, reduce manual steps and minimize the risk of errors. Potentially, it would reduce lead times and thus contribute to faster time for test results for patients and contribute to a better working environment for employees.

Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We hired external consultants who have helped to investigate possible logistical and technical solutions to improve the sample management process in connection with an automation and instrument procurement at Laboratoriemedicin Sjukhus. This aim to include more business-improving functions that can save lead time and reduce employees´ manual work and work environment in the ongoing procurement and improvement project. The consultants made site visits to analyze current processes and possible future improvements together with the business.
