Purpose and goal
To prepare a competitive proposal to the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE-JU) focused on sustainable, high-quality alternative proteins by forming a strong international consortium, defining technical and market-driven objectives, and integrating circular, scalable processing solutions for fungal, microbial, algal, and insect-derived proteins in a large scale.
Expected effects and result
Expected Results and Impacts 1- A complete, cross-sectoral EU consortium with complementary expertise. 2- A finalized EU project proposal aligned with CBE-JU requirements. 3- Increased readiness to scale alternative protein technologies to TRL 7. 4- Accelerated development of local, resilient protein value chains with low environmental impact and high consumer relevance/acceptance.
Planned approach and implementation
The planning project is structured into two main work packages: 1- Consortium Formation: Identify and engage partners across academia, industry, and SMEs to ensure a complete and balanced project team. 2- Proposal Preparation: Draft and refine all technical, impact, and implementation sections of the proposal in collaborations
