Purpose and goal
The Indo–Sweden collaborative project aims to develop an advanced AI-based platform that will accelerate the creation of sustainable, low-carbon cement materials. By combining expertise from India and Sweden, the initiative will support industry-wide innovation and help reduce the environmental footprint of cement production. The project strengthens scientific cooperation between the two countries and contributes to global efforts toward cleaner and more efficient industrial solutions.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to result in an AI-based platform capable of rapidly developing and optimizing sustainable cement recipes with lower climate impact, reduced cost, and maintained performance. The solution will strengthen industrial competitiveness, reduce the need for time-consuming testing, and contribute to lower CO2 emissions through a faster digital and data-driven transformation of cement production.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out through close collaboration between Swedish and Indian partners with expertise in AI, cement materials, and industrial processes. The work includes data collection, development of physics-informed AI models, simulation, and multi-objective optimization of cement recipes. Results will be validated iteratively through laboratory testing and industry-oriented evaluation to ensure robustness, scalability, and practical applicability.
