Purpose and goal
The project aims to validate a national reference model for high-quality, fast and cost-effective digital acne care for Swedish regions.
Expected effects and result
By digitizing the patient journey for advanced acne patients, future fast and high-quality care can be enabled for more than 40,000 young people annually, reducing physical and mental suffering, reducing absenteeism from school and preventing scarring. Through more efficient patient management, healthcare costs in Swedish regions can also be significantly reduced.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is conducted in two phases: (1) Mapping and design of care process in collaboration with one primary care center, incl. identification of technical systems, routines and selection of patients. (2) Digital treatment of selected acne patients for up to 7 months, with continuous adaptations of care journey and technology in dialogue with healthcare providers and region, including evaluation through interviews and NPS measurement. Final report serves as reference model for other regions.
