Call Impact Innovation: advising small and medium-sized manufacturing companies on transitioning to net zero

Purpose and goal

The project aims to strengthen the ability of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to carry out an effective and long-term transition towards net zero emissions. The objective is to enhance companies’ capacity to analyse their climate impact, prioritise appropriate measures, and implement concrete improvements in production, material use and resource efficiency, as well as to develop strategic plans for continued transition and enhanced competitiveness.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in participating companies achieving improved transformation capability and increased innovation capacity. Companies will implement technical improvements that contribute both to climate benefits and to enhanced business competitiveness in the long term. They will also develop strategic plans for continued transition. Expected effects include reduced emissions, more efficient resource use and a stronger position in value chains through increased collaboration.

Planned approach and implementation

The project offers two tracks: 1) focusing on green transition capability and improvements in production, material use and resource efficiency, based on Produktionslyftet´s methodology; 2) focusing on strengthening companies’ ability to systematically drive innovation and collaboration within value chains, based on methodologies from EEN. The work is integrating technical expert support in plastics, heat treatment and surface treatment with coaching in sustainability and business development.
