Purpose and goal
The project´s aim is to establish and strengthen a long-term research collaboration between KTH and Singapore University of Technology and Design in digital over-the-air computation for 6G. The goal is to exchange knowledge about digital AirComp and wireless edge intelligence, formulate common research problems and create a basis for new publications and future project applications. The work will contribute to more efficient, scalable and energy-efficient wireless systems.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to result in a joint research problem in digital over-the-air computation, analyses and simulations, and a draft scientific article or technical report. The knowledge exchange will strengthen KTH and SUTD´s expertise in digital AirComp, over-the-air federated learning, and wireless edge intelligence. In the longer term, the project is expected to lead to joint publications, new project applications, and a lasting Swedish-Singaporean 6G collaboration.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is implemented as a six-week research exchange at Singapore University of Technology and Design. Before the trip, digital meetings are held to determine the research question, method and new work plan. During the stay, knowledge exchange, analytical modeling and simulation of digital over-the-air computation for 6G are carried out. The results will be compiled in a draft article and presented at seminars at SUTD and KTH.
