Terms for funding is harmonized between authorities

Energimyndigheten, Formas and Vinnova have the ambition to harmonise the conditions for funding research and innovation. Starting this year, grant applicants from all three agencies have the same opportunities to include indirect costs as eligible costs. These costs, also called overhead costs, affect all beneficiary.

In simple terms, the condition means that we have three different levels for how indirect costs can be eligible for support.

  1. Universities and university colleges may make mark-ups for indirect costs according to the full cost principle they apply.
  2. The following organisations may claim actual indirect costs up to a maximum of 45 percent of their eligible personnel costs if the project is carried out in the non-economic activity.
