Go directly to the reportVinnova has been commissioned by the government to produce an overview of Swedish research in the mining and minerals area and to map the research area's strengths and challenges, as well as to propose how different types of collaboration within research can be developed and improved.
The assignment was initiated in connection with the presentation of the Swedish Mineral Strategy in February 2013. The assignment was given to Vinnova in March 2015 and completed in June 2016. In connection with the assignment to Vinnova, the Swedish Research Council was also assigned to conduct a bibliometric study in the area. The Swedish Research Council's study is included as part of this assignment. Vinnova has commissioned a complementary bibliometric study.
This study is based on the final report of the assignment submitted to the Government in June 2016. The study contains a description of the area with strengths and challenges and suggestions for how forms of collaboration can be improved. The study includes a financing overview and bibliometric data as well as an overview of collaboration in the area based on a survey and interviews.
