Important results from the project

The project largely achieved its objective. Verification processes were established and strengthened through the VFT panel, VFT-Extra and VFT-Skillset. A total of 356 ideas were handled, and Societal Impact Lab broadened the perspectives. The project built a solid foundation for continued development.

Expected long term effects

In addition to the goals, several important results were added. Societal Impact Lab became an engine for social innovation and contributed to a national network. The collaboration with Mau Holding resulted in investments, option agreements and Business Lab. Pilotprojekten VIP and VALS showed that student participation can increase capacity and quality, and new methods for classification and SDG linkage provided better opportunities for measurement.

Approach and implementation

The project largely followed the planned approach with the right activities to build structures around verification and support. The schedule was met even though some administrative problems and the researchers´ time pressure affected the implementation. Unexpected positive effects arose, including a national network around social innovation. The collaboration with internal and external actors developed well and contributed to a broader impact.
