Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop and implement verified digital product passports for field-grown commodities by using advanced AI-powered models for precision measurement of Scope 3 emissions. Digital product passports will be fully integrated into food processors, mills and retailers´ operational systems. The goal is to develop and implement scalable, verified digital product passports to promote sustainability and traceability in the agricultural sector.

Expected effects and result

The project´s results will have a significant impact, not only for the participating the actors, but for the Swedish food industry in general. By establishing a new standard for digital value chains and sustainability measurement, the project is expected to influence how the industry works with traceability and climate impact, which in turn can contribute to strengthening Swedish competitiveness on the global market.

Planned approach and implementation

The duration of the project is 24 months and is structured in six work packages. These are: 1 Preparation and requirements 2 Development and integration 3 Testing and validation 4 Demonstration in real environment 5 Dissemination and exploitation of results 6 Project coordination, control and reporting By engaging leading actors in the food industry and research, the project creates a platform for long-term knowledge transfer and implementation of sustainable solutions on a large scale.
