Important results from the project
The goal of researching and evaluating our product idea was achieved through successfully carrying out all work packages. This included user interviews and questionnaires, competing products operating tests and technical analysis and a market and competition analysis. The project has provided us with a detailed picture of our end users’ daily lives, destinations, physical ability and current transport alternatives and needs. We have also gained a deep understanding of the micrombility industry, not least its potential for reducing personal transport related emissions.
Expected long term effects
We have identified a need for our product idea from our target group and a gap in the market between mobility aids and micromobility vehicles. Our solution can offer an active and zero emissions alternative form of transport to the car for many trips close to home, has the potential to be sold to users all over the world in a strong and rapidly growing micromobility market, which will lead to a widespread positive health and climate impact. This gives us motivation and incentive to continue the project to the next phase, where we will prototype and develop our solution (steg 2).
Approach and implementation
The project was made up of 5 work packages: -Analysis of needs - interviews and surveys -Analysis of a digital app service as incitement for behavioral change -Evaluation of potential - Market and competition analysis -Analysis of existing alternatives - strengths and weaknesses of existing products -Workshop - needs and existing solutions All work packages were carried out successfully as planned.
