Purpose and goal
This project aims to identify the technical, organizational, and competency barriers that prevent shopfloor operators from programming shopfloor automation. The goal is to understand what limits operator-driven automation today and the conditions required to enable it.
Expected effects and result
The project will identify how operators can program shopfloor automation, and its impact of increasing flexibility, quality, and reducing repetitive work. How operators can gain new skills while productivity and safety improve. The pre-study builds the foundation for a larger initiative, towards enabling no-code solution on industrial shopfloor to boost Sweden’s industrial competitiveness.
Planned approach and implementation
The project mainly consists of expert interviews and workshops with different stakeholders, resulting in summary reports and academic publication.
