Important results from the project

The purpose of the Travel Management System project is to procure a modern IT system support (Travel Management System) that can be developed over time. The project´s objective is to have a new system by 2026 that meets the needs of citizens and businesses and to be able to keep up with the dynamic IT development that takes place in the digital era the world is in today. Expected long term effects

We have a clear picture of how the market - the market is very positive towards implementing innovation through functional requirements. We have a clear picture of what the procurement strategy should look like. Dialogue meetings we had with the suppliers made it clear that we need a broad and deep competence when designing the procurement document. This means that we need to have a larger project organization when producing the procurement document.

Approach and implementation

Project manager produced an RFI documentation based on the above. Interna IT-resurser and hired consultants gave feedback on the RFI in different rounds. When the basis was deemed to be approved, the RFI was published. The RFI had an appendix with ten questions to which the supplier was expected to answer. We conducted dialogue meetings followed by analysis of these and subsequent benchmarking with other municipalities within the country.
