Important results from the project

The trip provided a good understanding of the German market ahead of our upcoming launch, and we gained both the industry overview and the direct contacts we were looking for. Genom Tysk-Svenska Handelskammaren also became STILFOLD involved in the Lightweight for Future Mobility initiative, which was one of the more concrete and unexpectedly strong outcomes — it gives us a platform for continued presence in the market rather than just a one-off activity.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to have effects on several levels — for STILFOLD, for the Swedish-German industrial cooperation and sustainable lightweight technology. The market knowledge and the relationships we have built lay the foundation for a structured establishment in Germany ahead of the upcoming launch, rather than single deals. Genom Lightweight for Future Mobility we gain a continuous presence in a network of manufacturers, research actors and suppliers in the mobility of the future.

Approach and implementation

The project was designed as a focused market research and networking effort in Germany ahead of STILFOLD´s upcoming launch. The approach was based on three main activities: participation at Hannover Messe for market and technology monitoring, targeted meetings with strategically selected actors, and connection to the German-Swedish initiative Lightweight for Future Mobility via Tysk-Svenska Handelskammaren.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
