Important results from the project
The project strengthened collaborations between Swedish and Singaporean actors in climate innovation, investments, policy and system change. The goals were met. Important results were in-depth dialogue with foundations about de-risking funding for sustainable transition and new contacts with universities and innovation actors. The conversations with Manus, a leading AI platform, showed interest in how their tools can support emission reduction in line with Earth Alignment.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to have important long-term impacts by strengthening cooperation between Sweden and Singapore on climate innovation, investments and system change. New relationships with foundations, universities, innovation actors and AI companies can lead to funding, research projects and tools that support emission reduction, the Earth4All agenda and a rapid, just and sustainable transition.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented according to plan as a Sweden-affiliated programme under Climate Week and Earth Day in Singapore, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy and local partners. The structure of meetings, workshops and public events proved to be right for the goals. The schedule was kept, no major external disruptions occurred and the collaboration with the Embassy and other actors worked well.
