Important results from the project
The project met its planned objectives by finding local partners for future pilot tests prior to market establishment to evaluate how Conifers AI-teknologi can support planning/follow-up of thinning measures for forest management and fire prevention work. These contacts strengthen the conditions for effective implementation of pilot tests. Discussions continue with the goal of starting pilot tests in California in the latter part of 2026.
Expected long term effects
The long-term effects of the project are expected to be several, provided that we can implement the pilot projects that are being discussed. It creates the conditions to open a new market in the USA and, in the long term, also Canada. It strengthens the company´s AI technology by learning from new forest types, which improves the AI models. Collaborations with local actors on thinning plans and proactive fire fighting create new solutions that can be offered to both new and existing markets.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented according to plan and is perceived as well-organized. We followed the planned schedule that was set up together with SACC‑SF, which provided a clear structure for meetings, study visits and networking activities. At the same time, we had the opportunity to adjust the schedule and priorities on site on an ongoing basis, which allowed the activities to be optimized towards the goal of finding partners and initiating discussions about pilot tests.
