Important results from the project

We have worked with a large Swedish company in within the transport sector that wanted to optimize, digitize and eventually adjust its fleet to achieve the climate goals. We have succeeded in digitizing and automating the entire emission reporting process, as well as finding methods for obtaining data to be able to optimize CO2 emissions and costs. At the same time, the data is used as an aid for a conversion process towards sustainable transportation.

Expected long term effects

The result was a beta version of software where all data is collected from both the trucks and the order system. Then the company can easily and automatically choose which data is relevant to the customer, and perform Co2 emission analyzes. The software program is also linked to Sveriges Åkeriers KlimatCalc. This will primarily lead to the company´s customers receiving accurate CO2 emission reports based on first-hand data, while the company can use data for further optimizations as well as for the process towards sustainable transportation.

Approach and implementation

We have had continuous contact and follow-up with our pilot customer. They have told us about their and the industry´s problems regarding emission reporting and the transition to sustainable transportation. Based on these discussions, a concrete action plan for the pilot project could be made and we used two of the company´s trucks. On the whole, it went very well with all involved - Pilot Customer (both board member and project manager/ environment was involved), Sveriges Åkerier, Åkeriet for the trucks, the truck drivers, our internal team and the consultants.
