Purpose and goal
The research project aimed at providing new insights into the characteristics of cyclists´ injuries and how to improve consumer tests that take into consideration both men and women. A career development plan to promote qualifications for senior management positions included: 1. Improved academic qualifications through a position as Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, Australia and by becoming a lecturer. 2. Engagement in international cooperation projects. 3. Leadership training
Expected results and effects
I became a lecturer in 2014 and installed in 2016 as an adjunct professor at Chalmers. I was in the years 2014 - 2017 guest professor at Monash University in Australia. Gällöfsta Perlan Leadership Diploma Program in Leadership has been completed and I have participated in the Management by Art program. The research project resulted in a publication and research continues in an ongoing project. Analysis of injury data resulted in new insights, published in VTI report 5A-2017, which contributed to the basis of the EU H2020 MG3.2 application VIRTUAL (which I coordinate).
Planned approach and implementation
In order to become a lecturer and adjunct professor at Chalmers, courses were conducted, the application was drafted and installation lectures were given. Following a contract with Monash University, five guest professions were conducted in 2015-2017. Leadership was developed through participation in two different leadership courses. Scientific cooperation with Monash University has resulted in two common approaches to research funding in the field of cycling, the EU project application Papoose and VIRTUAL that are currently being written.
