Purpose and goal
The planning project aims to transform initial project ideas into well-defined and actionable activities, focusing on food simulants and migration testing methods, closed-loop recycling for fibre-based food packaging, labelling solutions for automated sorting, and metrics for materials and processes. These activities will be integrated with complementary project ideas to form a coherent scientific and technical concept and a comprehensive work plan fully aligned with the regulatory framework.
Expected effects and result
The primary result of the preparation project is a competitive proposal which aligns with the call and addresses all aspects that contribute to the major evaluation criteria. RISE will draft detailed project plans regarding food simulants and migration test methods, closed-loop recycling technologies for fibre-based food packaging, labelling for automated sorting, metrices for materials and processes, etc.
Planned approach and implementation
The project consists of two work packages (WPs). WP1 focuses on defining the project scope with consolidated ideas and innovative approaches that go beyond the current state of the art. WP2 focus on preparing the project proposal that outlines detailed project plans to ensure the successful execution of the project.
