Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** objective of the project was to involve participants from the public in discussions and creative co-creation around different possible futures, as well as to get the participants to reflect on their opportunity to influence the future themselves. During the project, co-creation workshops have been carried out in six different cities in Sweden as well as online where the participants were guided in creating their own future stories and portraying these in the form of fictitious stamps from the future.

Expected long term effects

The project has developed future prototypes in the form of fictional stamps from the future together with the artist Anders Gudmundsson and involved researchers and the public in the creation of a variety of stories and images from different possible futures. This has been done at workshops in six cities in Sweden. At the workshops, the participants, under Kairos Futures´s leadership, have actively worked on imagining different possible futures based on their own situation, created stories, and shaped them. About a hundred stories and/or images have been created within the project.

Approach and implementation

During the course of the project, it turned out to be easier to create images and stories in physical workshops than in purely digital contexts, and the number of physical workshops was therefore increased while the digital element was reduced. Workshops were held in Stockholm, Linköping, Malmö, Gothenburg, Eskilstuna and Västerås. The method was also developed during the project with elements of gamification which proved to work well, especially with young participants. The process has proven to work well and parts of it have been incorporated into Kairos Futures´s method portfolio.
