Call Impact Innovation´s acceleration funding pool: Experiment, work and explore, spring 2026

Purpose and goal

The purpose is to create a common systematic approach for policy work to accelerate the built environment´s transition to carbon neutrality and resilience. The project will identify and address systemic flaws in legislation that hinder progress. Goals include establishing a uniform method, forming a core group, conducting a pilot test, defining verified barrier categories, and delivering a requirements specification for a digital log.

Expected effects and result

The result will be a new infrastructure and an evaluated method to identify system barriers in legislation related to the built environment. The project is expected to increase knowledge and strengthen consensus in the industry. A long-term effect is that decision-makers receive a fact-based basis to change rules that currently block resilient development. This creates better conditions for integrating resilience into new initiatives.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is led by IQ Samhällsbyggnad and runs for ten months as an exploratory process. Implementation consists of three phases: method development through short sprints, operational experimentation to collect system barriers, and a final strategic analysis. The work involves technical consultants and Innovationsföretagen to gather knowledge from operational reality. Practical work is conducted via workshops and interviews.
