Important results from the project
The project’s objectives were achieved during the course of the project (see the project’s final report for the substantive results). Our hope is that the report will contribute to increased understanding, provide inspiration, and promote knowledge exchange on logistics in retail circular business models.
Expected long term effects
Our hope is that this report will inspire, guide, and generate new insights—above all for logisticians and decision-makers working in the Swedish retail sector. By highlighting the importance of logistics, we hope to contribute to ensuring that the circular business models now emerging do not remain temporary projects, but become an integrated and profitable part of the retail sector’s future.
Approach and implementation
After an initial literature review at the beginning of the project, interviews were conducted with leading representatives from a total of 10 different companies, all involved in the circular business models of retail, primarily product owners. The results were compiled in a final report, and a number of oral presentations have also been held to disseminate the findings.
