Purpose and goal

The aim is to create innovative design and business solutions through an interaction research process between learning environment researchers, architects and stakeholders in an extensive expansion phase regarding school buildings. The project explores and develops new solutions for social sustainability in school buildings and activities based on a holistic perspective on planning, design, construction and operation. The goal is to produce instructions and recommendations for strengthened social value creation to be used in construction and administration processes.

Expected effects and result

In order to ensure school buildings with eligibility requirements for qualitative, financially sustainable design and a good working environment, a school building program is updated. The school buildings must provide conditions for learning, social interaction and safety that strengthen social values. The project´s co-production creates opportunities for exchange of experience for construction and business development as well as innovative design and business solutions, which support an effective match between physical environment and the aims of activities.

Planned approach and implementation

National digital exchange of experience in aim to map challenges and innovative solutions among different stakeholders. Local mapping. Knowledge integration and innovation is carried out with project partners where different solutions for increased social values are developed and evaluated in an iterative process. The results from the processes are analyzed, compiled and published. Project results are communicated to several target groups.
