Important results from the project
The implementation of the Treesearch collaborative project creates a mechanism that enables structured collaboration between academia and industry, enhancing competence and efficiency in development and innovation projects carried out within initiatives such as BioInnovation and by the involved industry partners. The collaborative project thus serves as a lever to elevate the results from the research conducted within the Platform to higher TRL levels, thereby intensifying innovation efforts within the forest industry and related sectors.
Expected long term effects
The following outcomes are expected: -an increase in knowledge and competence within academia and industry to strengthen Sweden´s innovation capacity -groundbreaking research results transformed into innovations - 250 young researchers with unique expertise to drive innovation in the forest industry and related sectors - support and leverage for research and innovation projects collaboration and coordination of research efforts Treesearch is a long-term program, and the activities in the current period have contributed to achieving these goals.
Approach and implementation
The project has continued and further developed the activities and processes established during the initial stages from 2017 to 2021. Direct activities within the project have been carried out in the areas of education, conferences, and knowledge integration, as well as providing access to research infrastructure to support research projects and programs conducted within Treesearch. A specific goal is to support the ForMAX beamline at MAX IV, which has been opened for experiments during this period, with efforts aimed at increasing knowledge within academia and industry.
