Important results from the project
The project has met its milestones and brought TERASi closer to commercial introduction. The main results include the development and verification of RU1 radio prototypes optimized for mobile drone platforms. Technical tests have validated the system´s ability to maintain stable data links in operational environments, and a first prototype of an advanced gimbal system has been developed for automatic link control between mobile units.
Expected long term effects
The project positions TERASi as a leader within Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Genom AirCore-teknologi creates a new standard for high-capacity links, enabling global expansion and attracting growth capital. Socially, this contributes to strengthened crisis preparedness in the event of disasters and increased digital inclusion in rural areas. By offering mobile infrastructure, we create robust connectivity that can be quickly deployed where the needs are greatest globally.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented through technical development, field validation and market analysis. The internal pre-testing approach for customer demonstrations was successful. The schedule was largely met, despite the mechanical control being technically challenging. Customer feedback provided important insights into the market´s specific eligibility requirements, which led to a strategic choice of higher frequency bands to secure future competitiveness.
