Purpose and goal
Svensk skogsdata AB has developed a method, Tree-Id, for Reidentfication of Trees. Each log is identified by a digital ”fingerprint” that is extracted and matched. The used tool is an android mobile, programmed with patented algorithms developed for tree identification of Svenskskogsdata AB.
Expected results and effects
According to the project plan we have developed a design and architecture for tree identification. In addition we have also developed an Alfa version which is ready for testing in real forest environment.
Planned approach and implementation
We have had a team of selected specialist from Svenskskogsdata, IBM, LTH and Viscando. We have used a supportprogram, Trello, which has worked very well for us. The Trello program has enabled and supported a iterative and agile communication process.
