Important results from the project
The project delivered planned methods, guidance, procurement support and training by municipalities and property owners. The work contributed to concrete implementations of stormwater and stormwater solutions on neighborhood land as well as to clearer working methods and strengthened internal coordination. Important added values were increased collaboration between actors, increased legitimacy for community facilities and results that are managed and disseminated after the end of the project.
Expected long term effects
In the long term, the project enables sustainable stormwater and cloudburst solutions on neighborhood land and improves climate resilience. Developed methods, collaboration models and coordination roles strengthen municipalities’ and property owners’ implementation capacity. Standardised tools and training raise competence across the value chain, reduce construction errors and rework, and support long-term operation. Results are maintained, shared and create lasting system-level effects.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out through a structured approach where activities were organised around planned deliverables. Working groups produced materials that were reviewed and further developed through joint feedback. Several work packages were based on interviews workshops and dialogue with stakeholders, forming the basis for analysis and prioritisation. Study visits to well-functioning and less successful examples complemented the work and provided practical insights.
