Purpose and goal
The purpose is to investigate and define how a system transition in elderly care can be realized through increased collaboration with civil society. The feasibility study includes needs analysis, actor analysis, resource analysis, strategic analysis. The goal is to develop an action plan for collaboration that will describe the further steps that need to be taken to achieve a system transition where public actors and civil society collaborate in a more structured, long-term and effective manner.
Expected effects and result
The result will be a report and action plan that compiles and analyzes the results from the preliminary study and describes the steps that need to be taken to create system transition where public actors and civil society collaborate in a more structured, long-term and effective manner. In the long term, we want a project to lead to a more cohesive and efficient healthcare structure that also contributes to preventing ill health in the elderly and reducing or postponing the need for healthcare.
Planned approach and implementation
The feasibility study is being carried out in collaboration between the Gothenburg Region, RF-SISU Västra Götaland and Röda Korset. It will examine the potential role of civil society in elderly care through focus groups, surveys and dialogue in existing networks. Furthermore, obstacles and opportunities for collaboration from both the elderly care and civil society perspectives will be analyzed, and existing models from other regions/countries will be mapped.
