Purpose and goal

SOLVE enhances CVC network design and operation efficiency, real-world component and resource recovery, and sustainability performance. It develops a unified, model-driven Circular DevOps platform that enables companies to design, simulate, optimise, and operate CVC networks. The approach integrates product design, business strategies, governance, partner capabilities, and process quality into an executable digital model, and it supports evidence-based design and real-time orchestration.

Expected effects and result

The main outcome of SOLVE is the unified Circular DevOps approach and software, which has commercialisation potential through licensing. The results can help enable CVC networks with benefits for manufacturers in terms of meeting coming circularity requirements, and enhancing their resource efficiency and sustainability profile. SOLVE benefits the partners by bringing together the stakeholder competences needed for CVC networks.

Planned approach and implementation

SOLVE integrates methods from social, sustainability, and systems sciences, mechanical engineering, data science, and software development. The workpackage flow identifies requirements and high-level architecture with stakeholder support; develops models and methods network design and operation, technology and market foresight, product-process fit, governance mechanisms, incentive mechanisms; develops demonstrative software with validation on four test cases; and disseminates the results
