Purpose and goal

The longterm aim is attractive and smart station communities that contributes to sustainable regional. These station communities are; - Characterized by effective use of land - Support sustainable travel - Support local economic and social developement Phase I has focused on identifying solutions conected to support effective use of land, support people to choose sustainable travel, local business and social cohesion. Another objective has been to expand the constellation. The constellation has been strengthened and solutions has not only been identified but also specified.

Results and expected effects

The project has identified and specified solutions within the areas mentioned above. These solutions will be further developed and tested in phase II. The project has identified and added additional partners to the group to create possibilities for success in the next step. The group has thereby been supplemented with the following; ICA, municipality of Lerum, local builders in Lerum, Västtrafik, Bzzt Handelsbanken and Svensk Fastighetsförmedling.

Approach and implementation

The project has gained valuable input concerning the conditions for station communities through different workshops. These have also beneficted development of the contellation. The peoject has identified dialouge and close collaboration with the users and incentives to spur change as key factors for success. The transdiciplinarity of the group generates solid ideas, energy and will to move forward. The fact that the project is closely connected to a real case with a clear focus of development and strong actors create excellent conditions for demonstration and implementation.
