Important results from the project

The project has developed the first version of a behaviorally driven toolbox that supports schools and meal organizations in the shift toward sustainable proteins. The goals were achieved, and the material was created in real school environments and in dialogue with experts who work with school meals every day. The project has strengthened the work of the Protein Revolution, led to new collaborations, and demonstrated potential for further development of educational initiatives.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute to a shift in norms around school meals and sustainable food. The toolbox can help municipalities reduce climate impact, promote public health, and support equality. We see potential for the toolbox to be further developed iteratively to become an even stronger support in the transition to sustainable school meals and a long-term protein shift in schools.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out as planned in five work packages: insight gathering, co-design, concept development, testing in school environments, and final packaging. The setup worked well and followed the timeline. Collaboration with the City of Helsingborg was key to relevant testing and anchoring. No major obstacles arose.
