Important results from the project
The proposed project involves understanding the fundamental molecular mechanisms of a large group of proteins located in the cell membrane that are related to antibiotic resistance. The ultimate aims are to understand both what these proteins look like and how they work. Provided the opportunity to work closely with two experienced group leaders, the proposed collaborative work aims to help the project leader in developing and carrying out a unique line of research in the structural and functional studies of integral membrane proteins.
