Important results from the project
The goal was to develop a biocide-free prototype paint that can prevent microbiological growth.
Expected long term effects
The intended mechanism for preventing microbiological growth was verified. Ongoing field trials will clarify its effectiveness in the outdoor environment.
Approach and implementation
A clarifying physico-chemical characterization of the paint was performed with successful results. The methodology for the evaluation was also developed during the project´s lifetime.
