Purpose and goal

STING DAY The aim is to provide innovative Startups and expansion companies inspiration, knowledge and valuable contacts, which leads to the value of the objective of building international growth companies, by creating new investment- and industry contacts, and to create a platform for knowledge and experience between innovative technology companies. STING day is an entirely newly created, exclusive networking events, where we collect more than 40 promising Startups and expansion of companies from STING-sphere, investors and key people from academia, industry and academia. The focus is on to network, find business opportunities and share knowledge. STOCKHOLM CLEANTECH VENTURE DAY 2010 The Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day 2010 is an event organised by KIC InnoEnergy, Stockholm Innovation & Growth AB (STING) and Kista Science City AB. The main objective of the event is the match making between promising Cleantech entrepreneurs, investors and decision makers where global influential representatives will share ideas, network and do business. MEDTECH INVESTMENT DAY 2011: MedTech Investment Day 2011 is a meeting place between entrepreneurs in innovative companies and investors from both VC companies and larger medtech-companies looking for opportunities. The goal is that the participating companies will find investments from either a big medtech company or a VC company for future expansion.

Results and expected effects

STING DAY - At least 80% of Innovative Startups and expansion of companies participating on STING Day will have at least found one new valuable business contact, who directly or indirectly can generate benefits to the company. - At least 50 innovative companies will participate at the event - At least 200 people will participate at the event - At least 50 investors will participate at the event - From the requests from start-up companies seeking to participate in STING Day, we can select 15 qualified cases. STOCKHOLM CLEANTECH VENTURE DAY 2010 The ambition is to have more than 200 visitors of which at least 65 are investors from Sweden, Europe and the US. We will select 25 promising and investable cleantech companies and that at least 75% of these will obtain valuable contakts for future investements. and at the same time they shall through their participation receive presentation training, get inspiration from the presentations and panel discussions and increased the overall interest for the cleantech market. MEDTECH INVESTMENT DAY 2011 We expect that at least 10% of the companies find a new investor during the day as a result. We would also would like that new business contacts will be the result in at least 70% of the participating exhibiting companies that would result in any cooperation of any kind after the event.

Approach and implementation

STING DAY Networking, find business opportunities and share knowledge. Knowledge-intensive workshops and panel discussions are interspersed with qualified speed meetings. The event concludes with buffet and STING Awards. Date and place: Monday 14 June in Kista Science Tower in Kista Science City Program: STING provides speed coaching to selected Startups, Inspiring entrepreneurial journeys, Qualified speed meetings, Dynamic investor discussion, Trend spottings in workshop format: Cleantech, Internet / Mobile and pitch for venture capital (Draknästet), Evening event and STING Business Awards STOCKHOLM CLEANTECH VENTURE DAY 2010 This event includes presentations, company presentations and panel discussions. With an initial welcome reception the evening before the networking is encouraged this evening as well as during the the conference. The conference is concluded with mingle, a gala dinner and the Cleantech Company of the Year Award ceremony. Date and venue: Thursday September 30 in the Kista Science Tower at Kista Science City. Program: Opening speech and keynote speakers (Market demand), Cleantech companies presentations (Market solutions), Investment opportunities for Sustainable Cities WWF, Investment opportunities in a new energy efficient society - EIT InnoEnerg, Selected, inspiring entrepreneurs success stories, Final gala diner at Atrium (Nationalmuseum), Cleantech Company of the Year Award. MEDTECH INVESTMENT DAY 2011 The event will take place during 2011. Two interested speakers of whom one will be from the medtech industry and one from the VC industry talking about how to succeed with expanding a innovative medtech company with or without VC money. After those presentations there will be pitch opportunities from the participating companies on stage in 2 min per company and time to meet outside in the exhibiting stands to discuss further about investments opportunities in the companies. In the afternoon there will be parallel workshops that the participants can join depending on interest in specific subjects. The meeting will be held at Kista Science tower. MedTech Investment Day Award 2011 will be announced by a jury to the most promising Medtech company during the day.
