Purpose and goal

The purpose of this project was to develop the right technical specifications and features for a standardized IoT infrastructure. To do this, a thorough investigation of the IoT landscape was performed which included identification of potential customers, analysis of the user needs, and competing solutions. This brings us closer to a solution that addresses the needs of the users and affects a change in the IoT market.

Expected results and effects

As a result of the project we have developed an initial technical specification of a general IoT infrastructure based on a better understanding and insight into the market. Potential partners were identified and new leads were generated with development starting on some pilot projects.

Planned approach and implementation

The project went generally according to plan. We conducted research on the market and identified decision makers, potential partners and users. Following that we were able to map out the IoT landscape together with them through interviews and workshops and develop a deeper understanding of the market. We have also identified additional IP to protect. Development has continued according to the results and pilot studies are in progress.
