Important results from the project
The project has started the journey by establishing the climate calculation method developed within the framework of Vinnova LFM30 as a standard for climate calculation in the construction & civil engineering sector both nationally and internationally. The same applies to the objective of developing target limit values for the most common measures regarding existing buildings (ROT), new production, construction projects and existing construction projects (renovation and conversion measures).
Expected long term effects
The project has laid the foundation for creating a climate-neutral building and construction sector in Malmö. By also succeeding in spreading this method to other local, regional and national / international climate initiatives, the project has contributed to developing skills and networks that can be transformed into societal benefit / business benefit and strengthen Sweden´s position as a pioneer in climate-neutral / climate-positive construction.
Approach and implementation
The project has been implemented according to Sustainable Innovation´s well-proven model for project management. The project was carried out in a work package on further development, competence building and standardization of the climate calculation method, led by Martin Erlandsson, IVL and communication and dissemination, led by Petter Andersson, LFM30.
