Project duration April 2021 - December 2024
Status Completed

Important results from the project

SIP SES is a strategic innovation program to increase competitiveness and growth in Swedish industry. In order for Sweden to be able to be competitive in electronics systems also in the future, we need to face three main challenges; Knowledge transfer and collaboration in the value chains, maintaining and developing Swedish cutting-edge areas and creating a more secure supply of skills. In stage 3, the program office has worked with the recommendations from the 6-year evaluation.

Expected long term effects

In the area of value chains, we have strengthened cooperation and competence transfer through, among other things, our handbooks and conferences. In the area of excellence, we have strengthened and supported the R&I projects, which have provided increased excellence in many different areas of excellence. In the area of competence, we have contributed to strengthening competence in electronics both in primary schools (through collaboration with Nature and Technology for All) and in the industry.

Approach and implementation

During stage 3, the project office has been moved from the Teknikföretagen industry groups to the non-profit association Teknikföretagen. During stage 3, the entire program office has been replaced, which has been challenging in terms of skills transfer. Large parts of the board have also been changed during the course of the stage (see further attached report). Despite this, the program office has delivered in its three focus areas and achieved the set objective.
