Important results from the project

Recently, a survey among Swedish municipalities showed that only 10% had a plan for rainfall management and long-term measures for the expected climate change. Through our dialogue with Malmö in Sweden and Vejle in Denmark, we have developed a project idea in line with their desire for a solid citizen dialogue and knowledge database for this work. Due to the Corona epidemic and other circumstances, no application could be submitted, but several results could lead to this in the future.

Expected long term effects

Due to a) the Canadian authorities´ decision on a "grace period" between the funding, b) SME companies such as Greenland and 4IT´s inability to make their own financial resources available, and c) any continued project development has ceased due to the Corona epidemic. We have not succeeded in producing any EU or other source of funding. It is not due to disinterest, but to prevailing circumstances. However, contacts between Lund University, Greenland and 4IT remain.

Approach and implementation

Planning grants leading to joint application within EUREKA´s program calls in 2020 are a very good initiative and it provides opportunities for smaller companies to find international partners. Due to exceptional circumstances with a viral epidemic, the project failed to produce any joint application. All project meetings were held via Skype and resulted in three different project ideas that have the potential to be implemented in the future.
