Important results from the project
The goals have been achieved. The VFT funds have enabled early validation of interesting projects by connecting the projects with the right specialists.
The VFT funds have been used to commercialize/utilize knowledge that spans the entire SLU area of operation. The projects have widely different subject areas, from improved animal husbandry and health for fish, shrimp, bees and cattle to environmentally friendly battery solutions, via AI generation of thematic maps and gene editing of potatoes.
Expected long term effects
More knowledge from universities will be used in and benefitting society. More investable projects will develop into stable companies and generate tax revenue.
Approach and implementation
The project was partly delayed because we were initially not allocated enough funding and all VFT processes were therefore slowed down. When we were allocated more funds, the planned project plan could be followed (although with an extended time for the project). The project developed as we had planned. Almost all the funds were processed.
