Purpose and goal

Expected effects and result

Establish a system with ground-based sensors for 24/7 monitoring of drone activity in the city of Sundsvall. Implement a platform for real-time analysis, tracking and alarm management of identified drone traffic.Develop routines for how different actors should act in the event of identified intrusions. Anchor the solution in the existing structures for long-term operation and further development. Document the solution so that it can be disseminated and implemented in other municipalities.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is planned and implemented over 12 months through seven phases with a total of 5 workshops. The work starts with a common goal and needs analysis, followed by technical design, legal screening and installation of sensors. The system is then tested in real scenarios with blue light actors. The project concludes with evaluation, equality analysis and establishment of a testbed for future IoT and security projects.
