Venture Strategic Innovation Program Drive Sweden
Call Strategic innovation program Drive Sweden: Innovations for a sustainable, digitized and automated transport system for people and goods

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop a vision, strategies, and methods for validating the function and security of C-ITS services and infrastructure. Particular focus is placed on implementation aspects and cybersecurity as well as knowledge exchange with industry, the public sector, academia, and foreign expertise, which we believe is a success factor. In addition, a selection of C-ITS applications will be tested and validated within the framework of the project, with regard to robustness and security.

Expected effects and result

Robust and secure C-ITS solutions have the potential to contribute to higher traffic safety, reduced congestion, and greater opportunities for automation. Robustness and resilience have been pointed out by stakeholders as important components in enabling a C-ITS rollout. Therefore, the project is in line with Drive Sweden´s eligibility requirements on system transformation, where actors need to collaborate to achieve a sustainable and efficient transport system and solve the current challenges.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is divided into six work packages that together cover strategic planning, vision, cybersecurity, testing, validation and demonstration by C-ITS. The work is done both sequentially and in parallel to ensure coordination and efficiency. Through analyses, workshops, simulations and physical tests, safe and robust solutions are developed that are demonstrated and disseminated to industry, authorities and research actors.
